Celebrating National Men’s Health Month

June was National Men’s Health Month and at EHS, we took the opportunity to raise awareness about the importance of recognizing and preventing men’s health problems.

So, in June, we encouraged our staff to wear blue every Friday of the Month as a way to show support for men´s health awareness. Men’s Health Month encourages men and boys to take control of their health and to make their health a priority.

According to a 2020 Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) report, men in the United States on average now die five years earlier than women and die at higher rates from nine of the top leading causes of death.

Men’s Health Month also serves as a reminder to talk with healthcare professionals and learn about important screening tests that help find conditions before they get worse.
