CONFLICT OF INTEREST
It is the policy of Emergency Hospital Systems that its company colleagues and Board members do not participate in any activities that conflict or appear to conflict with their responsibilities to the organization.
An actual, potential, or perceived conflict of interest occurs in those circumstances where an individual’s judgment could be affected because the individual has a personal interest in the outcome of a decision over which the individual has control or influence. A personal interest exists when an individual or a member of his or her family stands to gain because of a decision directly or indirectly.
