EHS Holds Virtual “Lunch And Learn” Classes For Clinical Staff

As part of our ongoing commitment to providing quality health care to the communities we serve and to ensuring that our clinical staff receives the training needed to provide optimal care, the EHS Education Department launched the “Lunch and Learn” classes designed to educate and train our clinical staff on the latest trends, treatments, and technologies in the healthcare industry.

The “Lunch and Learn” learning sessions are conducted by EHS Director of Education, and supervised by EHS Chief Nursing Officer Cassie Kavanaugh. The sessions are offered on-line via Zoom and are held the 3rd Thursday of each month at Texas Emergency Hospital. They are also recorded for those who could not attend the event. The sessions include theoretical information and a brief round of questions and answers for discussion.

The first “Lunch and Learn” session was held on February 17 on the topics: “Heart Failure” and “How to Call a Code or Rapid Response”. The topics are aligned with the EHS employee engagement committee health topic of the month. Congratulations to our director of education for leading this amazing initiative! We look forward for more “Lunch & Learn” sessions on relevant topics.
