EHS is pleased to announce that it has recently joined the DAISY Award ® For Extraordinary Nurses program, which aims to recognize and honor the superhuman work that nurses do for patients and their family’s each day.
DAISY recognizes nurses for their extraordinary acts of compassion and excellence in their work with patients, co-workers, families, and the community.
We are very proud to be a part of this initiative and very soon we will begin to award our fantastic nurses. The Daisy Award will give us the opportunity to recognize special nurses who go the extra mile in patient care.
Lindsey M. Cooper, BSN, RN will develop and lead the implementation of the Daisy Award program at EHS, in collaboration with our Chief Nursing Officer, Cassie Kavanaugh and the Daisy Awards committee comprised of EHS staff and leadership members.
The program will run on an ongoing basis, and anyone can nominate a nurse for exceptional care, including patients, family members, or staff. Nominations can be submitted either by completing the Daisy Award nomination form or online, by scanning the QR code.
Only one nurse will receive the Daisy award each quarter and, as a token of appreciation, she will receive the Daisy nomination pin, cinnamon rolls, and a certificate of appreciation. In addition, there will be the annual Daisy Award, in which a nurse will be awarded every four quarters.
We are very excited about this new venture and look forward to seeing many nominations for all our amazing nurses.
