Heidi SolesHEIDI SOLES
EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT
Emergency Hospital Systems
Welcome to this month’s Employee Spotlight! Today we have the pleasure of interviewing HEIDI SOLES, who serves as our dedicated Executive Assistant for EHS. Heidi will share her journey in EHS, her passion for community involvement, and her love of beekeeping.

Let’s get started and learn more about Heidi!

1. Can you tell us more about your journey at EHS? How did you start, and how has your role evolved?

When I began with Emergency Hospital Systems, I started working nights in registration and was eventually moved to the daytime shift. After a while, I was approached and asked if I would like to work with maintenance. It was an easy yes! I worked with Garry and the guys as their clerical maintenance coordinator until I moved to New Hampshire in 2020.

When I returned home last year, I was hopeful that my EHS family would welcome me back and they did with open arms!

2. What do you like most about your work at EHS?

The thing I love most about Emergency Hospital Systems is our people. I truly feel like this is my second family. This is why my work with the Employee Engagement and Daisy Committees is something I value. Giving back and seeing people appreciated for their hard work is rewarding.

3. Are there any specific projects or accomplishments you are particularly proud of during your time with us?
This year I was asked to join the Greater Cleveland Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. It was hard to believe, but I accepted and am proud to represent Emergency Hospital Systems throughout this community.

4. Could you share some insights or advice for your colleagues to advance in their careers?
The best advice I can give is to always put in 100% effort. Your hard work will undoubtedly be recognized over time. Also, if you do not know something just ask! That is probably the biggest thing I have learned as an Executive Assistant. I will call whoever I need to just to ensure I am completing things correctly. More often than not, they are happy to help.

5. What do you like to do in your spare time?
In my spare time, I am completing my bachelor’s degree, and I’m also, an avid beekeeper. Bees are amazingly impressive, and what started my unhealthy obsession was by happenstance. We had bought our first home, and it came with six beehives. After diligent research and getting my hands dirty, I fell in love! Since then, I have harvested my honey and look forward to growing my apiary.

Heidi Soles’ Journey at EHS and her commitment to community involvement, along with her fascinating beekeeping hobby, make her an invaluable member of our EHS family We appreciate her hard work and dedication to both her role and the community.
