Employee Spotlight

Tamesha JamesInterview with TAMESHA JAMES
Director of Registration for EHS
We are excited to announce our newest employee spotlight feature highlighting the exceptional talent at EHS. For this month, we proudly
feature Tamesha James, who has been a valuable member of our team since 2017.

Can you tell me about your position in EHS and how it has evolved?
I currently serve as the Director of Registration for EHS to all locations. We work as a team, and our responsibilities include receiving patients, accurately recording their information, and registering them on the hospital’s system for treatment. We view ourselves as the gatekeepers and goal-getters, serving as the first point of contact with patients. Working together, we strive to ensure that every person who walks through our doors has a great experience.

I have been a part of the organization since Deerbrook was a free freestanding ER back in 2011 and have witnessed its growth into the fully operational hospital that is today. Additionally, I played a role in establishing EHS-Porter operations in 2017.

Could you share what you like most about working at EHS?
I love being part of the changes and progress happening here, both from the business and personal sides. Throughout the years, I have witnessed substantial growth across different clinical management, CEOs, and registration processes. As someone who takes their responsibilities seriously, I am committed to ensuring success on all fronts.

Can you share more about your interests and activities during your free time?
I love being a grandmother to my four grandchildren. Additionally, I serve as a department lead at my church, where I teach Sunday children’s classes and develop the curriculum. Caring for others has always been my passion, which is why I have worked in the medical field since I was 19. I also make time to volunteer for a nonprofit organization.
