Eyeglasses Drive For Cleveland Lions Club

Donate your old eyeglasses for those in need!

If you have a pair of eyeglasses or readers that you’re no longer using, you can drop them-off in any of the collection boxes that have been placed in the main lobby of our two hospitals in Cleveland and HOPDs in Deerbrook, The Woodlands, 2920 and Porter.

All glasses collected will go to the Cleveland Lions Club, which has a program to distribute eyeglasses to people around the world who need them most.

The drive will take place throughout the year.

Many people around the world do not have access to the vision care they need.  The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that at least 2.2 billion people have a visual impairment, and in half of the cases, the visual impairment could have been prevented. Most visually impaired and blind people are over 50 years old; however, vision loss can affect people of all ages. Donating glasses can help people regain their independence and improve their quality of life.

We’re happy to team up with the Cleveland Lions Club to host this drive and to contribute to their mission of helping people with vision impairments.
