At EHS, our top priority is to safeguard the health and well-being of the communities we serve by providing quality healthcare in a professional and compassionate manner. In line with this, EHS organized its first Health Fair on Wednesday, February 26, from 10:00 to 2:00 pm at it’s Deerbrook facility located at 8901 Farm to Market 1960 Bypass Rd W Suite 105, Humble.
The Health Fair was held at the main lobby of the facility and included no-cost blood pressure and glucose screening for community members.
The event was aimed at contributing to improve the overall health of the surrounding community by raising awareness of health related issues, extending partnerships with community organizations as well as raising awareness of the services currently available at our EHS-Deerbrook facility. The health fair also gave the opportunity for community members to become more aware of the many community resources available in the area.
EHS partnered with various organizations, many of which set-up tables at the fair offering information on the services they provide, demos and samples to community members. Some of the organizations that participated in the Health Fair include: AAA, I-Credential, City Ambulance Service, Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center, Enforce Security and IPR Healthcare Systems.
EHS also offered educational information on diabetes through posters and brochures in both languages: English and Spanish. A planning committee from EHS was established who was in charge of planning the event.
The Health Fair was a great success !. Many area residents attended the event and took part in screenings for blood pressure and blood glucose.
It was a great time for sharing information and for strengthening relationships with community members and organizations.
