We are pleased to announce that Luby’s Restaurants and Fuddruckers Burgers opened their doors on November 11 at the Texas Emergency Hospital located at 300 E. Crockett St. in Cleveland.
With this opening, community members will have more options for lunch in Cleveland, as well as greater access to healthy meals. The residents of the Cleveland community and EHS employees gathered at the grand opening event, where they were able to participate in games, door prizes and food tastings, in addition to appreciating the new and remodeled cafeteria. The restaurants are operated by Luby’s Culinary Services, a company that has 30 similar-style restaurants in hospitals, acute care centers and senior centers in the southern United States.
Luby’s and Fuddruckers will operate in the former hospital cafeteria.
In addition, Starbucks Coffee Shop will open soon and will operate in the gift shop next to the cafeteria. Restaurants are open to the public for dinner or take away.
Luby’s Culinary will also provide food to patients who remain in the hospital where they will provide dietary options according to each particular case. Portion sizes for patients have also been modified to meet the necessary hospital standards.
Luby’s is now open from 7 a.m. till 2:00 pm for breakfast and lunch. At the moment it will be closed at night and on weekends.
