At Emergency Hospital Systems, our emergency rooms are open 24/7/365, so we’re available when you need us most. We realize emergencies can’t wait, whether that’s a deep cut, broken bone, or medication overdose. When you come to one of the EHS emergency rooms, you’ll be seen by a caring and compassionate staff member. Depending on the severity of your emergency, we might show you into an exam room immediately or triage you with others. In all cases, however, we are generally able to see patients quickly, unlike the long waits experienced by patients at some of the large downtown hospitals.

When you arrive at our ER, we evaluate your medical condition and make an assessment of your needs. To ensure patients receive the very finest care, we see the most severe cases first, but in all cases, we strive to minimize the wait time for every patient. Your emergency is important to you, and it’s important to us. Reducing patient wait time is a crucial indicator we work to manage every day.

Types of Emergencies We See

We provide urgent medical services to patients suffering trauma or in need of acute care and can handle most types of emergencies. If extraordinary trauma measures are needed, however, we can airlift patients to associated partner hospitals. We maintain a network of specialized private practice physicians and allied hospitals with whom we work to manage patients in need of individual care. Nevertheless, our capabilities are broad and our staff skilled in most types of ER-related problems. Following is a list of many typical emergency situations we routinely handle:

  • Major and Minor Lacerations
  • MVA (Motor Vehicle Accidents)
  • Major and Minor Fractures
  • Minor Injuries
  • Allergic Reactions
  • Pulmonary Diseases (Infections, COPD, CHF, and etc.)
  • Pneumonia
  • Minor Trauma
  • Covid Patients
  • Stroke
  • Burn Patients
  • Pregnancy
  • Genitourinary and UTI
  • Heart Attack
  • Substance Abuse
  • Psychiatric

Selecting a Primary Care Physicians

For the best management of your health care needs, it is important that you maintain a physician-patient relationship with a primary care physician. However, it is not necessary to have a primary care physician to visit our ER as our services are available to everyone. If you do not have a primary care physician and would like to establish a relationship with one, we will gladly assist you in finding one. Most of the physicians in our extensive network of allied physicians are accepting new patients, and we will be glad to make a referral. At EHS we strive to provide you with the services you need including helping you with your emergencies and connecting you with an appropriate primary care physician.
