Pulmonary medicine refers to the treatment of diseases of the lung and respiratory system. Often breathing difficulties can be traced to pulmonary or other diseases such as COPD, congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, allergic reactions, asthmas, and many other conditions. Even high levels of anxiety can cause breathing issues and result in a trip to the ER. In most cases, our pulmonary team will conduct a diagnosis and prescribe a treatment plan appropriate to the patient or will refer the patient to a specialist within our group of associated physicians.

Patients with chronic coughs, bronchitis, COPD, lung infections, and pneumonia can often be treated and released, although some cases will require hospital stays. Our goal is to provide compassionate health care to every patient who visits our hospital and to assist each patient return to normal functioning. If you are having breathing difficulties or have maintained a chronic or a persistent cough you should visit our emergency room.
