Radiology or Diagnostic Imaging

Radiology And Diagnostic Imaging

Available at all 4 EHS locations

The diagnostic imagining department supports the emergency room as well as all other areas of our hospitals by providing images inside the body with the goal of identifying potential problems not observable from outside the body. These ‘pictures’ are used to identify conditions such as the absence or presence of bone fractures, the degree, and orientation of any break or fracture, possible concussions, internal bleeding, bone, and joint dislocations, and tumors.

These images are read by board-certified radiologists trained to interpret these images and skilled in interventional and diagnostic procedures. Often, visits to our ER will include x-rays or, even, a CT scan depending on the type injury being treated. Sprains, fractures, concussions, and dislocations are best treated with the aid of diagnostic imagining. Diagnostic tools we use include:

  • X-Ray
  • CT
  • Ultrasound (Cross Functional Service)
  • MRI
