Employee Health Nurse
Emergency Hospital Systems

Ronna Baker serves as the Employee Health Nurse at Emergency Hospital Systems (EHS), where she plays a crucial role in ensuring workplace safety, promoting health and wellness, and managing workplace-related injuries and exposures.

Inspired by her mother’s nursing career, Ronna transitioned into nursing later. Discovering her true calling during clinical rotations, she wholeheartedly embraced her role as a nurse. Ronna’s responsibilities involve managing onboarding health forms, conducting TB and fit tests, and documenting vaccinations. She also administers vaccinations, conducts COVID-19 testing, and provides education. Additionally, she oversees the process and follow-up care for accidental needle sticks or on-the-job injuries, playing a key role in providing education and other duties.

Ronna works collaboratively with various departments to ensure compliance and maintain a supportive environment. She has spearheaded vital initiatives, such as updating all employee health forms in one month, resulting in easier tracking of employee health and education information easier.

Ronna emphasizes finding work-life balance, practicing self-care and self-love, eating healthy, and setting firm boundaries for improving health and well-being. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, gardening, painting, and spending quality time with loved ones.
