Jordan Small is a committed nurse manager who plays a vital role in the Emergency Hospital Systems (EHS) healthcare team. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Sam Houston State University, which has given him a solid educational foundation for his nursing career.
As a nurse manager at EHS, Jordan is responsible for various tasks, including ensuring the safety of patients and staff, organizing staffing needs, actively participating in policy development, and enforcing state and national regulations. Jordan’s contribution also involves performing internal Medsurg metrics and audits for deficiencies and developing improvement solutions to maintain the hospital’s commitment to excellence.
Jordan has received ACLS, PALs, NIH Stroke, and American Heart CPR certifications, demonstrating his dedication to excellence. He was also honored with the prestigious EHS Daisy Award in June 2019. Jordan finds the most rewarding aspect of working at EHS is the camaraderie he shares with his coworkers and the unique opportunity to connect with staff and patients on a more personal level, fostering a positive and collaborative atmosphere.
In addition to his professional life, Jordan is actively involved in community service, volunteering in the nursery and children’s church since 2008. He also enjoys spending quality time with his wife and three girls, watching shows like “Survivor” and anime, and playing games like Dominoes, 42, spades, and video games.
