The renovation of our atrium garden is underway at Texas Emergency Hospital with the purpose of becoming a place where patients, visitors and employees can take a moment to relax and get fresh air in a spot surrounded by flowers, trees, and foliage. We are very happy that this project is becoming a reality, since we firmly believe that by bringing a piece of nature to the hospital, we are bringing happiness and well-being to everyone. The Garden Atrium is located within the Texas Emergency Hospital complex in Cleveland, Texas.
The project is spearheaded by a group of volunteers from the Employee Engagement Committee under the direction of Marie Joseph, Quality Assurance and Infection Control Preventionist at EHS. M.J enjoys gardening and landscaping in her spare time and is happy to share her love for nature with her volunteers. All plants, soil and gardening items have been donated by our employees from all facilities. A way to go!
In the last month, the renovation has come a long way, and now our atrium has a different face constituting an oasis where employees and visitors can relax and take a break in a quiet and natural environment. Look at the before and after photos and if you haven’t been able to visit it yet, take a walk to the atrium to enjoy it.
If you are interested in participating in this initiative by volunteering or donating garden supplies, please contact Marie Joseph at firstname.lastname@example.org. Volunteers meet after work to plant, water, and care for the garden.
Thank you, Marie Joseph and the Employee Engagement Committee, for putting so much energy, effort and time away from work to gift us with this precious and beautiful place.
