Recognizing our Medical Records Team

From April 18-24, we were happy to celebrate Health Information Professionals Week (HIP).  It was a wonderful opportunity to say “thank you” to our entire HIP team for all the work they do to keep our patients’ health information safe and accurate.

The work our medical records team play is vital to EHS. They are responsible for managing, processing, and protecting health information, ensuring that it is accurate and accessible.

We celebrated that week by hosting a pizza lunch for our medical records team and by extending certificates of appreciation in recognition of their dedication, effort, and commitment to patients’ care.

This year’s theme was “Keeping Health Information Human”, and when health information is still human, it is still relevant.

Health information professionals play a critical role in a healthcare organization. They are trusted by patients and providers to protect, interpret, and transmit the most sensitive data that exists about a person, while making sure it is available when it is needed.  #healthinformationweek2021
