CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Emergency Hospital Systems

It is with great honor and excitement that I introduce myself as the new Corporate Chief Executive Officer for EHS. This is an exciting time for Emergency Hospital Systems. Throughout the history of the organization, there has been a team in place that has laid the foundations which we will continue to grow.

As we look to the future, our mission remains to provide high-quality, safe care to the communities we serve. Through everyone’s hard work, we will be able to provide care to our communities where they live and work. It is vitally important that people can receive care and treatment without having to travel to another town or city.

I am excited to lead the organization forward in this mission. Over the coming months and year, we will be instituting improvements that will allow us to progress this mission. We have just instituted Omnicell, to allow for more efficient and effective control of our pharmacy services. Additionally, we have begun the transition to an electronic health care record that will facilitate better communication of patient information and allow for a more coordinated approach to providing treatment for these patients.

We are nearing the end of construction that will allow us to add surgical services to Texas Emergency Hospital, and we continue to work toward adding additional services at our other locations.

I look forward to working with everyone on these projects and many others to come.

Mr. Adkins began his career as a registered nurse within the emergency room and surgical intensive care unit. He grew up in West Virginia, lived in Charlotte, North Carolina between 2000 and 2011 and moved to Texas in 2011. He has two children.
