Words From Our CEO

Michael T. Adkins RN, BSN, MBA

As we move towards Fall, I would like to take a moment to recognize the incredible work everyone has done over the previous summer months.

We continue to be faced with an unprecedented pandemic in this country and in our community.  The illnesses related to Covid-19 have caused the resources of our hospital to be stretched to the fullest extent possible.  That said, the efforts put forth by everyone within the EHS family, have answered that call and continue to provide excellent care to the communities we served.

You have been responsible for providing care to our communities, supporting families dealing with illness and through over 40,000 vaccines given you have provided a means to limit the effects of this illness our community could have experienced.

I have been humbled to watch the excellent work, each and every member of our team has given to treat our patients during this trying time.  I have seen the emotional toll that has been placed on our doctors and staff, as they work to provide the best available care to our patients.  It continues to amaze me how everyone has pulled together to meet the challenge in front of us.

Words cannot express how proud I am to be part of this organization because of everyone who works here and the great job they do every day.  But still from the bottom of my heart I want to say “Thank you”.  Thank you for being the refuge of our community, thank you for your commitment to our patients, and thank you for being a part of our family.
